3rd Internal Workshop to Analyze AM Skills Needs – 17 February 2022

SAM (SkillS4AM) partners meet online on the 17th February to analyze the data gathered from the surveys conducted with Additive Manufacturing training and research organizations.
The event enabled to map the existing European supply, identify the features of the AM Courses as well as to identify the barriers in the adoption and exploitation of AM courses.
On the research side, partners discussed about trends in the AM value chain, namely linked with AM materials, processes, post-processing, ICT and quality innovation and future progress.
These preliminary results are being used by the AM community and stakeholders for identifying and anticipating the skills needs for the sector.
A second online workshop is foreseen to take place in March to deliberate on the remaining results, which are currently being gathered among industrial organizations and AM workers/professionals.
