Introducing SAM TECH4KIDs amongst GRIFFIN SCHOOL TRUST Teachers , UK 18th May 2023

On the 18th May, MTC (UK) welcomed the Griffin School Trust group composed Heads of School and members of School Leadership Teams to a day visit. As part of this activity, the manufacturing outreach possibilities were shown, including how current developments in advanced and additive manufacturing technologies could be shared with their classroom. To conclude the day, the teachers participated in a number of exemplar activities highlighting advanced manufacturing including the SAM for Schools AM quiz. The SAM for Schools comic was also shared with the teachers as a resource.

The feedback from the schools was overwhelmingly positive: “This has been a identified as a great opportunity to develop the relationship with the trust and identify additional opportunities to highlight AM and advanced manufacturing techniques as a future career for the pupils. The mix of primary and secondary schools also gives a good opportunity to develop resources for a range of pupil ages”.
