Online Foresight Workshop, 10th May 2021

The Virtual Foresight Workshop focussed on identifying the skills required and developments within the Additive Manufacturing sector sector in 10 years.
This session, co-organised by University of Brunel and EWF, took place online on the 10th May and entailed:

  • Introduction of the SAM Project
  • Summary of results from previous forecast sessions
  • Live and Interactive session with invited AM experts belonging to industry

    • Along the session contribution enabled a better understanding to the following questions:
  • What are the expected developments and technological trends in Additive Manufacturing technology in 10 years?
  • What will be the main implications of such developments /trends in the AM labour market (e.g., required occupation)?
  • What are the predicted Occupations Additive Manufacturing in 10 years?

    • The outcomes will be known, after two rounds of surveys, and shared on a dedicated conference taking place online on the 13thJuly.
