Developing the AM workforce skills of today and tomorrow – DfAM Event 13th July 2021
In the context of the Design for AM (DfAM) Event, co-organised by EPSRC DfAM Network and Brunel University London, the IAMQS and SAM project results will be presented in a dedicated session on the 13th July.
Adelaide Almeida, Project Manager at EWF, will give a keynote presentation on DEVELOPING THE AM WORKFORCE SKILLS OF TODAY AND TOMORROW.
The presentation is addressing the first International Additive Manufacturing Qualification System, covering Metal AM Qualifications for Operators, Designers, Supervisor, Inspector, Coordinator and Engineers. SAM is encouraging the implementation of the System and the close collaboration between experts, being the outcomes of the validation process conducted for the foresight scenarios for the next 10 years presented.
Findings are enabling a better understanding on the expected developments and technological trends in AM, their main implications in the labour market and a prediction on what will be the required occupations and skills set of the future workforce.
The event will take place online. Find out more and Register using the link DfAM for Education Tickets, Tue 13 Jul 2021 at 12:00 | Eventbrite
